[0:00] Yeah, I I I I didn't do a um we don't have a slide, but the agenda is basically the roll call, the calling the meeting to order, the roll call, approval of minutes from the last meeting, and then the consideration of the resolution. And I can try to share my screen. I've got a new monitor. It's not working at >> here. I I can Jennifer just guide um David if that works for you. So first one is do you want to just call the meeting to order officially and then take roll call and we'll just take you through the agenda. >> Okay. It seems like I need to >> Oh, now you froze.
[1:00] Did he leave? No, he froze. >> Oh, >> so Tara Winer >> here. [snorts] >> Tom >> here. >> David Peak, I'm here as well. Great. >> So, we have a quorum and we can take care of necessary business. >> Super. So, first uh the next item is your approval of minutes for October 28th. So, um unless there's questions, somebody can make a motion for that. >> I make a motion to approve the minutes from October 28th. >> I'll second that motion. Everybody say I. He agrees. I >> I do have an I from David. Oh, raise your hand if we can't hear you.
[2:05] >> All right, perfect. Uh so next one is the business for today. Um it is the consideration of resolution number two. Uh, so this is the second time you're seeing this, but this is to amend bylaws to allow us to expand the number of commissioners and include representatives of local local taxing authorities on the urban renewal authority. >> If you could put that up, one of us will make a motion unless you want discussion or something >> only if you need to. Otherwise, I'll pop that into the chat here. Um, I make a motion to approve resolution number two series 2025. Am I doing this right? >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Amending the bylaws to conform to statute HB15-1348
[3:02] by expanding the number of commissioners and including representatives of local taxing authorities on bureau. >> I'll second that motion. >> Okay. All right, let's take a >> motion and second. All in favor say I. Raise your hand. >> I [clears throat] >> I >> Okay, motion carries. All right. Um, new business. So, just briefly um mentioning that um this will allow us now to begin recruiting for bureau when we're in the recruitment window for boards and commissions as a city. um we'll reach out to you all separately, but it would be super helpful if you all put your um mind uh in a place to help us uh find some good members. Uh we're not kind of putting requirements on uh those seats, but um nice to have uh those kind of with some industry experience that could help us out um here. Uh so we'll we'll send a note to you um separately, but that will
[4:02] be um a big help as we try to fill out as many seats as possible. Sure. Do you mind in that note just telling us exactly what type of industry you're looking for? >> Yes. >> Like type of people exactly because I know a lot of people. >> Yes. And we will put together a couple questions for applicants to answer as a part of the recruitment process and we'll send those to you as well. >> Perfect. So the time frame is going to be January February for that. >> Yeah. Jennifer, do you have those exact dates? Yeah, they'll they'll open up um applications sometime in December and then it'll be through January and then it's approved um by the mayor and city council at a meeting in March. >> Okay. Um and um what is the length of the term? >> Five years.
[5:01] >> Okay. I think they're going to be staggered the first because by the statute the first appointees from the mayor have to be staggered. Um but we can let you know in that note as well. >> Okay. >> Do you have anything else on your agenda, Mark? No, that is the end of the new business. Um upcoming meeting schedule as needed. Um we don't >> Sorry to interrupt. Did you want to talk about the cooperation agreement at all? >> Oh yes. Um apologies that so that will be an upcoming meeting is um the last thing the at least we think the last thing you all will need to do um as an authority is to um consider authorizing or authorizing an IGA between the city and the urban renewal authority so that
[6:00] the city can help cover any expenses. Uh so this is the staff time that you you know were supporting the board um and uh any um potential blight studies all the consulting help um eventually if urban renewal areas are created and there's increment generated then uh that allows the authority to pay the city back for those administrative expenses. So, council will consider that at the uh November 20th meeting on consent. Uh and then you all will see that. We'll likely schedule a meeting in December uh to take care of that business. >> Okay, that sounds good. >> Does anyone have any questions? >> That's all we got. >> Okay. Well, um I make a motion to adjourn the meeting then. >> I will second that motion.
[7:01] >> All in favor say I. >> I. >> I. >> Thanks everyone. Again, my apologies for delaying the start. Thank you for >> No worries. >> Calling me and following up. >> You bet. >> Thank you all. Thanks everybody. Have a great day. >> Take care everyone. >> Bye. >> Bye. Fats.
